My name is Isa Iturra, and I am honored to say I am The Russ’s new Editor in Chief for the 2025-2026 school year. The Russ published its first article in 1889. And continues to this day. To talk more about our amazing newspaper, we are a fully student-run paper. Our mission is to share news with staff, students, and parents. I can’t wait for our team to carry on the legacy, inspire others, and share new things with our community.
I am new to journalism personally, but I have always been fascinated with the news and how it informs people. I couldn’t wait to join journalism once I found out about it. I’ve always wanted to be a part of something like this, and I see now how far we can take this club and how much potential it has. My interest in politics, sustainability, and global warming has led me to create a very strong voice, and I plan to use it. I didn’t find my voice for a long time, but I believe that everyone has a voice, and some people just need to find it. As I enter my new position, I promise to be mindful and receptive to all ideas.
